Mr. Joshi holds Master in Information Technology, Computer Network and Wireless Communication from Tampere University of Technology, Finland. He is a Business Analyst at Deerwalk Services Pvt. Ltd. He teaches Internet Technology.
Mr. Rijal holds Master of Engineering in Information and Communication Technology from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. He is Chief Executive Officer at Integrated ICT Pvt. Ltd. He teaches Theory of Computation and Artificial Intelligence.
Mr. Sharma is a PhD Research Fellow in cyber security at University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He is the Director at Information Security Response Team, Nepal. He teaches Java Programming.
Mr. Baniya holds Master in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Samford University, USA. He is a Lecturer at Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus. He teaches Microprocessor and Computer System Architecture.
Mr. Pokharel holds Master in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus. He is a Software Engineer at LogPoint. He teaches Cryptography and Introduction to Cognitive Science.
Mr. Pathak holds Master of Science in Mathematics from Tribhuvan University. He has co-authored several books in mathematics. He teaches Calculus and Algebra.
Mr. Poudel holds Master of Science in Statistics from Tribhuvan University with Distinction. He has also authored several books in statistics and Research Methodology. He teaches probability and statistics.
Prakash Bahadur Amatya
Mr. Prakash Bahadur Amatya is a M.Sc. degree holder with specialization in Statistics with Demography as optional subject and Agriculture and Econometrics as extra optional subjects from Tribhuvan University with distinction in 1996.
He has been working as lecturer at Amrit Science Campus since 2000 and teaching various subjects like Research methodology, Bio – Statistics, Probability and Statistics in different colleges of Kathmandu valley. Besides teaching he has also worked as an ILO Research Consultant for FNCCI and Statistical Evaluation Expert for Save the Children.
Vikash Satyal, PhD
Dr. Vikash Raj Satyal, is Professor of Statistics at Tribhuvan University. He has more than 26 years of experience teaching statistics at various universities of Nepal at different levels. He has completed his PhD in Statistics from the University of Vienna, Austria in 1994 “Modelling the ground level Ozone of Vienna using parametric and non-parametric regression”.
Dr. Satyal, has strong research and analytical skills and expertise on quantitative and qualitative data analysis. More than 20 socio-economical researches are published to his credit, including “Social Security for the Elderly: Experience from South Asia” published by Rutledge Taylor Francis, London and “Economic Growth in Nepal, 1996-2000” published from Oxford University Press, London. He has proficiency in several statistical software such as SPSS, Eviews, and Stata. He has gained research experience working with national and international agencies like Nepal Rastra Bank, Planning Commission, Central Bureau of Statistics, UNDP, UNIFEM, UNIDO, UNICEF, DfID, World Bank, and Asian Development Bank.
Sanjeeb P. Panday, PhD
Dr. Sanjeeb P. Panday has been working as an assistant professor in the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering at Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, Tribhuvan University, Nepal since 2002. He completed his PhD at Osaka Sangyo University in Japan after completing his Masters in Computer Science from IOE, Pulchowk. He has numerous research papers published co-authoring some of them with esteemed professors at universities abroad. Over the course of his academic career, he has won a number of awards and scholarships.
Ritu Raj Lamsal
Mr. Ritu Raj Lamsal Completed his Bachelor’s of Engineering in 1999 and Master of Technology M.Tech with specialization in VLSI Design in 2006. Prior to his career in academics, he served as an Engineer for satellite Television and also worked under Thaicom Teleport and DTH center Bangkok. During 2006 to 2013, he served as an Associate Professor in various institutions under VTU, JNTU and Anna University in India.
He has published Research papers in international and national journals, conferences and symposiums. His areas of Interest Includes VLSI and ASIC design, Microprocessors and Controllers, Computer networks and Architectures, Embedded systems, Wireless and cellular communications.
Dhundi Raj Pathak, PhD
Mr. Pathak holds a Ph.D. degree in Geo-Environmental Engineering and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and M.Sc. in Geotechnical Engineering, from Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk. Currently, Dr. Pathak is involved as an Individual Consultant in ADB(Asian Development Bank). He has also been closely associated with Solid Waste Management Technical Support Center at Ministry of Urban Development, Nepal as Technical Advisor/SWM Expert since 2010.He is also a founding Director and principal Researcher of the Engineering Study and Research Centre. His areas of expertise include Geo-Environmental Engineering, Groundwater Management & Aquifer Protection, Solid Waste Management, Infrastructures Planning and GIS.
Manish Man Singh
Manish is a Project Manager at Deerwalk Services. Manish has more than eight years of experience in Training and Project management and more than three years of hands on experience in software and hardware troubleshooting. He worked as a Team manager and Technical Support Officer for NetApp Customer Support and Logistics at Convergys India Services. He was also a trainer for Microsoft Operating Systems at Convergys India Services. He completed his Bachelor in Computer Application from Bangalore University and Masters in Business Administration from International Association for Distance Learning.
Mr.Binod holds a M.E degree in Computer Engineering and completed his bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk. He has numerous research papers published, “Numerical Analysis of Stiff Problems Using the RK-Butcher Algorithm”, “RK-Butcher Algorithm: An Effiecient Approach for solving ODE”, “Emerging Security Threats and Impacts of Online Social Networks”. He teaches computer subjects in various IT colleges of Kathmandu.
Mr. Chalise has undertaken many projects for instance Plan Analytics, Real Estate management System and Hospital Management System. He holds Master’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA) from Kongu Arts and Science College, India and received his Bachelor’s degree in Science from Amrit Campus, Kathmandu. He is working as part time lecturer in various IT colleges of Kathmandu. Currently he works at Deerwalk Services and had worked as a software developer in ICONIFOS for 2 years. His areas of interest includes Data mining and Big Data technology.
Krishna Bikram Shah
Mr. Krishna B. Shah received his M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering form Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology in 2012 and Master in Computer Application from the same university in 2007. Prior to joining at DWIT, he served as a Lecturer at Cluny Women’s College, West Bengal, India from 2007 to 2009 and as an Assistant Professor at Rockvale Management College, West Bengal, India from 2013 to January 2014. Krishna’s publications include papers in international journals and conference proceedings (e.g. IJCA, IEEE and Springer to name a few).
He has participated in various National and International Conferences. His current interests are in Sequence Analysis of Protein and Data Mining.
Rachana holds a Masters degree in Information System from Hawaii Pacific University. She has worked for over six years as a developer and a system analyst in different desktop applications, mainly in the finance and health industries. As well as holding the position of lecturer at DWIT, works as a project manager at Deerwalk. She is involved primarily in planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.
Edward Wood Hausman
Edward has a special interest in the field of Linguistics and Languages.Prior to joining DWIT he has been involved in research projects, helping bookstore design a new ‘tracking’ system, conduct a client survey for a Law firm among host of other activities. Some of his past experiences also include working as Writer/ Director/ Actor for the full 7 episodes of comedy series titled ‘Single Long’ for HBO/ Ravenswood productions. He also has helped design a curriculum for Modern American Poetry for Belmont Hill School in Boston, MA.
Ed completed his Bachelors in Arts (Anthropology and Linguistics) from University of Chicago, IL, US.
Ed taught in DWIT for the better part of 2013. He helped in designing and teaching courses (English) for students of DWIT.
Craig Appl, MPH
Craig has nearly a decade of experience developing IT projects spanning the project lifecycle, from idea to completion. He has completed multiple projects for small business, major corporations, non-governmental organizations and the US government. Most recently, he is pursuing projects in the anti-human trafficking and public health domains.
He holds a BS in Economics and Masters in Public Health
Craig was here with us during the second half of 2014.
Menosh has over 6 years of curriculum development for the US government. TESOL certified, she has received numerous awards for her ability to teach language learners in non-traditional ways that allow them to quickly obtain and retain a new language. Her most recent projects include writing the book used to teach US diplomats Urdu before they travel for work and translating Persian poetry to English, Urdu and Hindi. Menosh is fluent in five languages and conversant in many more.
Menosh holds a BS in Psychology and Masters in Public Policy Peace Operations.
Menosh taught at DWIT during the second half of 2014.
Hilary F. Towle
Ms. Towle holds M. Ed. in International Education Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Education, Cambridge, Massachusetts. She did her B.A. in Sociology, Women’s Studies from Meredith College, Raleigh, North Carolina. She is currently the brand ambassador of The SKIMM, executive assistant of Engaging Schools, development Associate in IPAS. She also worked as a field education intern in FXB center for health and human rights in Rwanda. She designs and develops full-length courses on English language, Technical Writing and Professional Communication for students in DWIT.
Yuval Ben-David graduated from Yale in 2016 with a degree in history. Born in Israel, he grew up in the United States and is interested in global politics and languages (he speaks four: English, Hebrew, French and Russian).
After his stint teaching at DWIT he will be organizing experimental summer camps in Romania and Indonesia.
Mr. Nashib Acharya received his Masters degree in Information and Communication Engineering from Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk and did his Bachelor degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. His final year project “Instrumentation for QoS (Quality of Service) of GSM”, was awarded by NTA. He teaches in various IT colleges of Kathmandu. Some of his publications include “Dynamic Spectrum Co-Access (DSCA) with Dirty Paper (DPC) for Cognitive Radio Networks”, “Performance Analysis of Throughput Maximization Techniques in Cognitive Radio Network Using Energy Detection Based Cooperative Spectrum Sensing”. His areas of expertise are RM 32 bit controllers, C, C++, communication protocol I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485, CAN, Modbus protocol, SDI 12 interfacing techniques, UART and USART.
Ekta completed her Masters in Computer Science from Uppsala University, Sweden (2012) with Master’s Thesis in “Restoring RDF Archived Databases”. She completed her Bachelors in Electronic and Communications Engineering from Kathmandu Engineering College where she was ranked as scholarship holder in all of the semesters. She is currently working as a Project Manager of DeerwalkSerivces, Nepal.
